2021 has been a particularly challenging year for students in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The pandemic has devastated the tourism industry and a volcanic eruption in April forced thousands of people into shelters and caused major damage to homes, farms and infrastructure. Many families will have to permanently relocate to a safer zone. Island Scholars students and their families have faced significant disruptions to their livelihoods.

Your generous support makes Island Scholars mission achievable. Below are some examples of current per-student costs.

–$8,000 would cover all expenses, at a University Of The West Indies (UWI) campus for a year.

–$5,000 would pay the tuition and dorm fees at a UWI campus for one year.

–$2,500 pays housing fees at a UWI campus for a year.

–$500 would pay for a laptop

-$150 would pay a student registration fees.

We are grateful for all gifts in any amount. Student needs are many, including books, laptops, bookbags, calculators etc.

We are very interested in partnering with colleges, universities and businesses who would like to offer scholarships to ambitious, highly motivated students from St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
